Abstract |
This paper describes a phase-shifted pulse-width modulation and frequency modulation hybrid type control-based series-resonant bridge inverter system using the latest Static Induction (SI) Transistors or Static Induction (SI) Thyristors, which is put into practice for 20 kHz - 400 kHz induction-heatlng and -melting high-power supply systems in industrial fields. The new conceptional adaptive frequency tracking-based phase-shifted PWM regulation scheme which is incorporated into a voltage-fed bridge type series resonant inverter system is newly proposed in order to minimize switching losses, switching stresses and to reduce EMI and acoustic noise. The trially-produced breadboard using Static Induction Transistors is successfully demonstrated and discussed from a practical point of view. |
