 Abstract   This paper is mainly concerned with a new conceptional multistage topology of sinewave modulated DC-LFAC power conversion conditioning and processing system, which incorporates a phase-shifting PWM series resonant inverter coupled cycloconverter cascade circuit (cycloconverter) with a high-frequency AC (HFAC) transformer link. Its advanced hardware of systems control implementation is originally presented that treats with an instantaneous sinewave-modulated voltage regulation and compensation strategies, depending upon load disturbance and input DC voltage fluctuations in addition to instantaneous power regenerating regulation scheme. The newly-proposed feasible breadboard using MOS-gate power transistor modules is demonstrated and experimentally tested for high-power density AC mini-uninterruptible power supply. This series resonant cycloinverter with HFAC link which includes the control function of a bidirectional power flow is evaluated as a new AC power supply systems for telecommunication and space-station / aerospace energy utilizations in next generation.
