Abstract |
This paper describes the development of voltage sensitive, speed and load dependent traction equipment models for both d.c. and a.c. fed railway systems, which use d.c. traction motors. The modelling techniques adopted gives an equivalent circuit model which permit piecewise linear system theory to be used for fast and efficient solution of the supply network. The 'modular' approach used also facilitates the incorporation of changes in both traction equipment and control strategy. |
