This paper describes a new method for dealing efficiently with the time-varying topology of 3-phase thyristor bridge circuits
during digital simulation. The method is to separate the whole system into three subsystems, i.e. thyristor bridge circuits,
a.c. network and d.c. network, and respectively to establish their state equations and interface equations. During the digital simulation, the unknown interface variables can be easily calculated through the interface equations of the three subsystems, it is not necessary to assemble the state equations at each change of the topology of the bridge. The method can be used in simulating various types of system connected to the bridge in normal operating and abnormal operating conditions. |
