This paper explains the control of an automatic voltage regulator (AVR) based on series voltage compensation using a transformer and an AC-AC converter. The paper explores the control of the output AVR using linear controller using reference frame transformation technique. Simulation and experimental test has been made to verify the viability of using the proposed control technique for voltage regulation |
