 Abstract   This paper aims to design an adaptive fuzzy logic voltage controller for a residential MG includingPV-array and flywheel/battery hybrid energy storage implemented in a DC bus configuration. Specifically, the controller is developed for the MG islanded operation. The most relevant simulationscenario is considered the maximum load, defined based on load power profiles and correlated PVgeneration profiles.. Considering the DC bus voltage error and the battery state of charge as inputs,the fuzzy controller elaborates a power correction to be applied to the regular power assignmentsdetermined by the normal operation power management. Simulation results prove that the controllerachieves very good performances in supplying the critical load during islanding, while maintainingadequate levels of voltage and frequency towards the critical load.
