| Abstract |
Until today, switch mode power supplies (SMPS) have failed to replace inefficient line transformers in
compact audio sets incorporating AM tuners due to unacceptable interference especially in the AM
band. This paper presents a new approach based on frequency hopping that for the first time allows to
fully exploit the advantages of SMPS in these applications. |
