| Abstract |
The practical problems resulting from the introduction of the PWM technique to the three phase controlled rectifiers are analysed. In practice, the pulse pattern known in the literature produces additional impulses on the output waveforms. This paper describes a method to solve this problem by using a different and asymmetric pulse pattern that reduces the number of the GTO commutations (from 28 to 24) and maintains output characteristics expected in
the theory. |
