Abstract |
This paper presents a new frequency domain method of calculating the dc input current harmonics of a voltage source inverter (VSI) drive, a knowledge of which is particularly important in some applications such as railway traction. This method is much faster than the time domain simulation methods commonly used to calculate the relevant wavefoms and harmonic spectra. The paper shows that this frequency domain method can also be extended to include the effects of inverter delay and turn-off times as well as snubber
charge-up effects. |
