| Abstract |
This publication gives a survey on a specific part of electronic power conversion: AC servo drives as they are used for machine tool and handling applications. The point of view of control theory and signal flow which is a good way to approach the diversity and complexity of the whole field, has been choosed. Definitions are given to help a comparaison between trapezoidal and sine wave current drives. To illustrate further aspects of AC servo drives, some special advanced developements in this technology are presented. Particular transducers, servomotors and CNC control solutions for machine tool with higher productivity are discussed. |
