| Abstract |
Improved overcurrent detection is required for industrial dc grids. Protection based on voltage measurement between emitter and auxiliary emitter is developed and shows unmatched performance for both accuracy and timing. Limitations are discussed and a complete overcurrent detection technique is designed that adds conventional overcurrent measurement to meet all requirements. |
