Abstract |
This paper proposes a dynamic series/series-parallel (S/SP) compensation network based on switch-controlled capacitor (SCC) for matching the series and parallel resonant frequencies of the networksuch that the magnetizing inductance of a transformer can be adaptively compensated under differentair gaps/misalignments. As a result, the requirements of load-independent voltage output and unityinput power factor can be simultaneously fulfilled under different coupling conditions by a single-stage converter. An experimental prototype with the air gap ranging from 10 - 16 cm is built to verify the idea. |
