Abstract   A structured way of stabilizing an induction motor drive with weak power supply is suggested. The strategy is to make the inverter passive as seen from the DC-link, within critical frequency ranges. The inverter input admittance is shaped by letting the DC-link voltage affect the torque reference. Imperfections of the control such as time delays and limited bandwidth are considered and an explicit expression for the stabilization is given in term of motor data and operation conditions.
