Abstract |
This paper analyses a mechanical-sensorless state-observer-based data-acquisition system for a dc drive. The speed signal of the drive Is obtained by state-estimation with an observer, and the position signal is computed from it. The effect of observer design on the sensitivity of the scheme to uncertainties or variations in the drive parameters is studied. Effects of Ioad torque and initial conditions are also studied. Both experimental and digital simulation results are presented to substantiate the theoretical analysis. |
