Abstract |
Superconducting Maglev system adopts primary ground linear synchronous motor for its propulsion. This paper deals with the influence of the distribution irregularity of the coils in the direction of progress. Two groups of irregularity are considered; one extends over long range and the other is localized in small range. Thrust deterioration and unnecessary side force acting on the superconducting field coil are investigated using 4 cases of numerical examples. It is found that: (1) Short range irregularities can be tolerated. (2) Long range irregularities easily have influences on train thrust. |
