| Abstract |
The diagnosis of stator short circuits of induction machines are considered, with the aim to pointed out diagnostic indexes to be inserted in the knowledge base representation of machine faults. To remove the assumption of uniform temperature, an arcing resistance of the short circuit is introduced and suitable variables are looking for pointing out the short circuit parameters. It is so possible to overcome the discrepancies between the theoretical results, obtained with the usual machine model, and the experimental results. The diagnostic features of the procedure proposed are presented and discussed. |
