| Abstract |
It is difficult to explain the causes of failures of high-power converters in service. One of the possible solutions of this problem is to determine the state of thyristors and diodes of the converter before switching on the supply voltage and then, to supervise them with an automatic localisation of failures and to determine their causes and the circumstances of their appearance. The principle of the automatic determination of the causes of failures as well as the design and operation of the diagnostic equipment are considered. |
