Abstract | This paper concerns the reliability of motion system using the inverter - a.c. motor association. The problem is as fellows: - To assure the continuity of the application at the ocurrence of a transistor drive fault, - To respect the technical and economic limits. In the proposed example, the authors describe a remedial working mode of the inverter at the appearence of transistor drive fault (power transistor remains swiched off). The solution consists in not driving the "detective leg" and in continuing the application in a single phase working mode. The electrical and mechanical behaviour will be affected but remains acceptable. However it's suitable to provide a variable topology speed control structure, which will be adapted to the working mode. Some experimental results validate the modelling of power part - near control. |
