Abstract |
This paper describes a method for robust self-tuning of a speed controlled induction motor drive. Generalized Predictive Control (GPC) is used for the design of the speed regulator. The standard GPC structure is extended to the general RST regulator structure in order to make it comparable to other known design methods. In order to ensure robust control by the RST regulator, a new saturation function is developed for the induction motor drive. The method is tested on a current controlled induction motor drive developed at Danfoss A/S.
