Abstract |
In the M-Bahn Drive system the magnetic levetation train is driven by a synchronous long stator motor with variable voltage and frequency. AEG has
developed a voltage source PWM GTO Inverter for this application with a rated power of 760 kVA and a frequency of 100 Hz with a digital control unit. This
paper deals with the control system emphasizing on special requirements and characteristics of the linear motor different to those of a rotating machine and the power electronic components. They will be applied in the near future to the M-Bahn system of the Frankfurt / Main airport, connecting terminals A, B, c and D. |
