Abstract |
Using input filters, to supply the PWM inverter directly from DC line, achieves an economic solution for mass transit applications. This paper presents a microprocessor based system for the vehicle and drive control of an underground train. Drive control is realized by Direct Self Control. The high dynamic method allows an effective suppression of voltage oscillations in the input filter. The system withstands disturbances in the supply voltage which occur, for example, when the pantograph jumps. By use of an application specific integrated circuit a new strategy for supervising and protecting the inverter has been developed and verified. |
