| Abstract | For its future rolling stock, the RATP has chosen a new traction system developped by GEC ALSTHOM. The characteristic features of this system are as follows: induction traction motors, a GTO thyristor voltage source inverter, equipment protected in a leaktight box, cooled by natural convection, A.G.A.T.E. regulation and control electronics, supporting several highly efficient tools for maintenance aid, an opimised pulse width modulation and vector control strategy. | |||||
