Abstract |
The economic and effective design of inductors and coupled inductors for high frequency applications in power supply circuits is now more difficult because of the higher switching frequencies that are being used. This paper presents a theoretical and experimental study of the benefits of using distributed airgaps to improve the internal leakage field pattern in planar inductors thereby reducing eddy current losses in the conductors. |
