| Abstract |
The series resonant DC/DC converter is one of the most promising soft-switching topologies with potential to replace PWM converters in medium to high power DC applications. However, the SRC lacks of output voltage regulation at no-load. This paper presents a novel SRC with added resonant boost stage assuring full control over the output voltage. A performance comparison of the new converter and a conventional half-wave resonant converter is presented. A computer program allowing design of SRC and above-resonance similarity protection circuit are also presented and discussed. |
