| Abstract |
This article describes the motivation and introduction of SiC MOSFET technology for Auxiliary Power Supplies (APS) in railway applications. The results show that its utilization is promising by using an innovative system dimensioning. Presented results of investigations and the realization of an APS prototype prove the expected benefits especially in terms of higher efficiency und higher power-weight ratio. |
