Parallel Operation of Dual VSCs Regulated by FCS-MPC Using Droop Control Approach

Abstract |
This paper introduces an improvement in the coordination of two different voltage source converters(VSCs) controlled by the improved finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC). It investigates the transient performance of both converters and the alleviation of the circulating power in caseof different output impedances. In order to ensure proper load sharing, a suitable coordination is applied and utilizing droop control. Simulation and experimental results validate the better performanceof the proposed improved FCS-MPC and its appropriate droop characteristics to enable proper paralleloperation. |
