Abstract | Low-voltage cabling will be in important role in the future smart grids as well as in industry applications, e.g. variable-speed drives. Hence, on-line diagnosis of cable condition and prognosis of the remaining life-time are essential functions. In this paper, a cable diagnosis method based on a power-line communication channel frequency-response analysis is presented and evaluated with laboratory tests. | |||||
