Abstract |
This paper presents a new control strategy applied to a simple DC/DC boost converter and a quadratic one and a comparison between their performance when controlled by the proposed controller. These converters are usually used in the adaptation stage of solar energy systems. The control signal is a switching rule based on Lyapunov theory coupled to a conventional perturb and observe controller. The resulting controller assures a maximum power extraction from the solar panel. Simulation results are presented to test the robustness of the proposed switching rule and to confirm the advantage of the utilization of the quadratic converter compared to a standard one. |
