Abstract |
This paper deals with a design strategy for the provision of fast-response synthetic inertia services fromelectronic converters interfaced to the grid by means of a constant power control structure, like the onetraditionally adopted for renewables generators. The novelty introduced lies in the inclusion of theexternal grid characteristics in the definition of the current-controlled inertia loop; this analyticalapproach allows to predict the properties of the power network and converter dynamics during inertiaprovision. |
