This paper focuses on a non-isolated high step-down voltage ratio DC-DC converter by addressing the PWM switching sequence problem, as well as proposing a new switching technique. The appropriate PWM switching sequence allows the converter to operate with very high conversion ratio, whereas the proposed technique offers a wide output voltage range of operation, maintaining however, the high step-down ratio characteristics. The converter operation under the appropriate PWM switching sequence and the proposed new one, is theoretically analyzed and validated using a laboratory experimental prototype. |
