Abstract |
Most household equipment employs an on/off-controlled, constant speed, single-phase induction motor. This paper studies the possibility of replacing this motor with a variable speed, high efficiency motor, which could be a 3-phase induction motor or a 3-phase permanent magnet
motor. A reliable efficiency measurement enables the issue to be evaluated by comparison of 6 comparable 100 [W] motors fed by a VSI PWM DC-link inverter. |
