Abstract |
This paper presents the electric scheme and the experimental testing of an electronic relay for the overloading protection of AC electrical motors. The patterns heating and cooling temperature curves for a certain motor are modelled by the output voltage of an integrator circuit, based on the supply current of the motor. The relay follows the average temperature of the motor for any operating state, and breaks the supplying when reached the e* protection temperature. Heating and cooling curves of the motor are previously required, in order to choose the relay parameters for optimal operating. Experimental tests show the fact that, the temperature and the humidity of the environment where the motor is placed, does not have a significant influence on the relay's performing. |
