Abstract |
The LCL-type resonant converter (LCL-RC) has more desirable features than the conventional parallel resonant converter (PRC), such as the small frequency range and the reduced circulating current in the inverter. A steady state analysis of the converter operated above resonance gave a set of characteristic curves from which a systematic design procedure is developed. In order to get good efficiency, an optimum design result is obtained by minimizing the energy in the inductors and maximizing the current gain of the LCL-resonant circuit. Experimental results of prototype of a 750 watt-500 KHz full bridge LCL-RC are also presented. |
