| Abstract |
This paper presents two ditferent methods dealing with the insertion of Thyristor Controlled Series Compensation (TCSC) in power systems. Both methods work with time domain simulation. This is in order to study dynamic and steady state performances of TCSC. The first method is based on the well known Bergeron's method and the second one on the averaged model. Comparison between these methods are achieved and shown in this paper. The advantage and the drawback of each method is clearly pointed out. |
