| Abstract |
This paper investigates the design, development and implementation of a closed loop control system to regulate the voltage and frequency of a 3-phase AC generator regardless of rotor speed and load variations. This is directed towards such generators being powered by variable speed prime movers such as windmills or diesel engines. Experimental results show the validity of the proposed strategy. The system may also be controlled so as to maximise overall system efficiency. |
