Abstract |
High bandwidth rotor position information is extracted from eccentricity current components present in the machine's supply lines, The proposed system: is non-invasive and uses standard,low-cost hardware corqponents. No .information other than the number of machine poles is required to be known about the machine. The resulting position information shows good agreement with results obtained using a shaft encoder. A speed measurement technique based upon the position information is proposed. Experimental results illustrate the validity and viability of the technique. |
