This paper introduces seven-level Active Neutral-point-clamped (ANPC-7L) inverter first. Then, the paper decouples the two problems of floating capacitors voltage controlling and neutral-point potential balancing by using the concept of average state, proposes a novel neutral-point potential balancing model based on zero-sequence voltage injection. After that, two neutral-point potential balancing algorithms and their full controllable regions are derived respectively. Finally, the two neutral-point potential balancing algorithms are modified for real-time implementation for different modulation regions. The validity of the proposed neutral-point potential balancing model and algorithms are verified by experimental results from a 380 V/5 kW ANPC-7L inverter. |
