This paper presents a technique to model electric devices and systems, which cannot be represented adequately with rational transfer functions, to be integrated in electric transient simulations. Such technique has been successfully validated and exploited in the modeling and optimization phase of a fast switching converter with its load, which is a coil subject to skin, proximity and shielding effects. Furthermore, the possibility to use this technique in order to control such converter has been investigated, obtaining promising results. |
