 Abstract   This paper presents the comparison of two different methods for sensorless position estimation at anelectrically excited synchronous machine for electrical vehicle applications. Both methods use theelectromagnetic force. The first method tracks the induced voltage and the second uses a flux model toestimate the rotor position.
