Abstract |
The parallel operation of UPS systems can be based on different control methods: active and reactive power control; voltage and frequency droop; instantaneous control of the modulation pulses. This paper presents the results of a control system for parallel operation of UPSs implementing reactive power control. The relative phase between the inverters is constant. Open and closed loop simulated characteristics are presented validating this approach. A digital PI controller is designed based on the continuous equivalent. Simulation results along with experimental ones are presented at the controller level as at the power system. The overall control system is implemented in a simple and low cost platform. |
