| Abstract |
The steady-state conversion characteristics of the Quasi-Square-Wave step-up converter are derived and presented. Variation of the performance characteristics with specification is discussed and the most favourable operating conditions identified. A design of a 150W 80V prototype is presented operating from 24-50V at 700kHz, the full-load efficiency is between 82% and 87%. Practical results from this converter are compared with the theoretical predictions and good agreement is obtained. |
