Abstract |
In HV-AC applications passive filters are used to reduce line interferences. Wide-band characteristic can be achieved via resistors with the penalty of high power
dissipation. This paper shows that apart from economical advantages the
usage of active elements in combination with a passive filter
offers loss reduction by more than 90 %, correction of parameter variations and active damping of parallel resonances
between capacitance and inductances of the passive filter and the line. Digital simulations verify the performance of the suggested active filter extension for double tuned wide-band filters. |
