Abstract |
Our aim is to present the vernier reluctance magnet machine which· is a new actuator structure with a high
power per unit of mass. In the first part of the paper, we will study this machine which is an improvement of classical
reluctance machine. The addition of permanent magnets in that structure allows an increasing of performances. Then, we will give the dimensions of a little machine, in order to build a prototype. This last one, actually studied, will permit to validate the functioning principles of this new type of structure. The encouraging performances of this motor let us
consider the motorization of an urban electric vehicle. On the last hand, we will propose a dimensioning of a wheel motor (direct drive). The choice of this type of motorization involves strong dimensional constraints. The motor is sized in order to give the expected performances in a 15 inches wheel. |
