Abstract |
A high frequency, three-phase induction motor drive has been developed for low power applications requiring a wide speed range. The drive ha~been succesfully tested up to speeds of
22 000 rpm and power levels up to 1 kW. The utilisation of the field weakening region to extend the useful speed range of the induction motor has been demonstrated and the issues involved in the drive design have been studied. A simple, but cost effective control strategy has been implemented
with a single 8-bit micro-controller chip. |
