Abstract |
The Video Cassette Recorder has become a well-known consumer product. In order to enhance the quality of the reproduced pictures, precise control of the capstan and scanner servo loops is needed. The paper treats the detailed modelling of the servo
loop, both using a classic Brush DC Motor model and an advanced Brushless DC Motor (BLDCM) model. For the case of the BLDCM, a simulation package with the ability to handle state-driven events has been used.
Simulations of the two models are compared to measured data, and excellent agreement between the models and the real system is found. |
