Abstract |
For more effective utilization of the land, developments of superskyscrapers and deep underground facilities are planned. The vertical transportation system with high capacity is essentially required for the realization of them.
Application of the direct linear drive is studied for the ropeless lift in a super skyscraper as an example. The type of
linear motors is compared, based on the requirements of the system. A design study is done with the linear induction motor. The configuration of the drive system and the power conditioner are considered. The technical feasibility of the system is verified. To secure operational safety on the system, the energy storage should be implemented into the drive system. The forced commutated converter should improve energy efficiency of the linear drives. |
