Abstract |
The paper presents results for the on-line real-time implementation of an extended Luenberger observer for joint
speed and rotor-flux estimation in a TMS320C30-DSP-based vector-controlled induction motor drive. The deterministic ELO is shown to be a feasible solution for real-time implementations in industrial drive systems. The simple algorithm and
the ease of tuning of the observer gives advantages over the conventional extended Kalman filter. A detailed discussion of the development of a rea1 time system in both hardware and software is presented. ln order to demonstrate the satisfactory behaviour of the system, test results are given for the system incorporating the ELO for the cases of speed reversais and
load disturbances. |
