| Abstract |
The Netherlands government decided to build an "Amphibious Transport Ship"
(ATS). To cope with the operational functions of the ATS an integrated electric AC propulsion drive (approx. 2 x 6,2 MW) and electrical distribution system came out as the most cost effective solution. This paper presents a filosophy of electrical energy management and design consequences of static convertor application. |
