Abstract |
Existing topologies of matrix converters are analysed and their remaining problems are pointed out. The load current commutation is analyzed and solutions are discussed. A new zero current switching matrix converter is proposed and its benefits refered to easy current commutation and low switching losses are emphasized. A control with adjustable power factor at line and load end of the proposed
converter by means of space vectors is described. The feasability of the whole system is verified by means of numerical simulation. The resonant networks are improved and extended to double resonant networks to reduce the r.m.s. current through the switches and therewith conduction losses while using
zero current switching. |
