Abstract | The harmonic impedances of a power system are important for harmonic filter design. An unresolved problem is how to account for the presence of significant non-linear components such as HVDC convertors. This paper presents two new methods to calculate the harmonic impedance of an HVDC convertor, and shows that for some harmonics the converter impedance is strongly dependent on the relative phase of the applied harmonic. | |||||
